Okay for the price, a wee bit bass but alright for my office

After first opening this upon its arrival I unboxed its & set it up, the first things I discovered were the CD player didn’t work, nor did the USB or most of the buttons on the remote control, what an absolute piece of crap, DO NOT BUY

This Roxel item is so bad that the maker should hang their head in shame. It’s CD player is the worst part. Cheap though it is I expected it would work at least. All cds skip, jump or stop. I haven’t found a single one that will play on this. It’s sound is just about bearable but despite its alleged EQ ability, there is no noticeable difference no matter what the eq is set at. Anything plugged into the aux port is doomed to be virtually inaudible. It’s remote control is ineffective. It looks and feels cheap and nasty because it is cheap and nasty with loose keys rattling around often doing nothing even when pressed. it doesn’t even come with any batteries. In short, don’t touch this rubbish with a barge pole.

This micro unit has a great overall sound. The bass alone is worth the cost of the unit.

The written spec was impressive, as were many customer reviews, but my experience matched a negative comment regarding the intrusive sound.On start-up there was a promising silence, but whichever source was selected, an electrical noise [sounding like a badly tuned radio] was a constant. Not significant with louder music, but in quieter music and between tracks it became distracting. I tried several times to identify the cause - each time with the same result. Since it was present on CD, Bluetooth, Radio and Aux, I suspect the amplifier processer, but obviously I can't be sure. A great pity: the unit looks OK, and had all the features I want, so perhaps I was just unlucky.

The sound is fine, if you are happy to have a second's disruption between tracks! So, if, for example, you listen to a CD such as Sergeant Pepper where all the tracks run together you can't hear it how The Beatles intended but how Roxel want you to hear it. I have raised this and just been fobbed off, so will be returning the item. Very poor.

Would help if stated, you need to purchase a separate FM aerial, no socket for the aerial that was supplied.

I rarely write reviews but simply had to write one for this product. As soon as it arrived I was impressed. The box it came in was nice and sturdy, well packaged. When I lifted the player and speakers out I was pleased to see that they looked really sturdy and of good quality. It was incredibly easy to set up. As soon as I played the first CD I was blown away by the sound quality. Lots of bass, very loud, crisp clear sound quality. I haven't tried out the USB or radio as yet but have rarely been happier with a purchase. It is certainly worth the money.

Great stereo, the only issue I have is the speaker cables could be a metre longer.
