A sleek and nice watch which caters to everyone interested in fitness. The design is simple and clean - it looks like a band you would get at a holiday resort or concert. This simple appearance means that it is very light and non-restrictive when excercising, sometimes I forget I'm wearing it!
The watch has time features which shows the current time (obviously), has a stopwatch and even an alarm feature. But where this watch shines is in the step and calorie counters.
The step counter is good, but it sometimes seems to overestimate the steps you do. The average step tracker you have on your mobile phone appears to be more accurate.
However, the burnt calories calculator is great. It takes into account your steps and excercise and tells you the amount you have burned a day. It seems to be accurate as when looking at TDEE calculator's online it comes to the same estimate. So this is useful for anyone wanting to watch their calories for losing or gaining weight.
The watch has to be connected to the Fitbit app which is quite slow with information that can sometimes be difficult to find. However, you can connect it to MyFitnessPal to add your steps to MFP.
The watch seems to have a built in gyroscope so when you hold your wrist up to look at the time, it automatically turns on. This setting can be turned off, I turn it off at night when the watch sometimes lights up when I'm trying to sleep.
One feature of this watch is that it is waterproof, so you can wear it in the shower and when swimming, though I do not believe it records strokes. This is useful as you can wear it in the shower instead of taking if off every time and forgetting to wear it for weeks.
The watch, unlike other fitbits, does not have a heartbeat sensor, and the sleep sensor seems to be nonexistent.
So, if you are looking for a basic fitbit, then this is great. But if you are looking for the features it is missing then either buy the next model up, or wait till this goes on offer to make the price worth it for the basic missing features that most smart watches should have!
But overall, this is a great watch for what is does and have.
