I have 4 Arlo Pro 2s with a bunch of panels and everything works great, I'd been looking forward to this and the chime for sometime but have had to send it back.

Goods:
- simple to install
- looks smart
- you can add multiple users (remember to grant the person access to the new device though!), it will call both phones and give you feedback if the other person took the call
- works with existing doorbell, standalone with phone/s or standalone with phone/s and Chime/s

Bads:
- takes 3 seconds for the Chime to be triggered
- takes 5 seconds to receive a call
- battery has gone down 10% in 2 weeks
- no ability to adjust the motion detection renders it useless as it's really sensitive and the battery goes down fast
- no ability to turn off the programmed voice and auto response, the "Please leave a message" would be nice to turn off if I don't want to invite people to stand there chatting
- unreliable in making calls to the phone, sometimes nothing, sometimes only to one of the phones connected
- no option to turn off the bright white light that shines when motion or the doorbell is clicked, I'd prefer a bit more subtlety there and with the big white ARLO logo on the front

I have this set up with a selection of 5 Arlo Cameras... So far it's been great and really suits my application. I like the automatic responses... Video feed has minimal delay and it seems to work well by all accounts...

If you already have Arlo, then this is ideal. I know that they have a video doorbell now, but the audio doorbell is actually more practical for me...

If I had the video version, it would be difficult for me to get a decent angle without pointing at my neighbours door. And with this I also get camera coverage of the driveway. I also intend to use IFTTT to trigger the pitch light via the motion sensor on the doorbell...

Overall, happy (so far so good)

I bought the doorbell to add to my existing Arlo cameras, and planned to use Alexa to announce someone at the door since Arlo advertises that it works with Alexa - except it doesn't. Having wasted a significant amount of time dealing with their support line - who barely speak enough English to be comprehensible, I find that even though it is a known problem there is no fix available and no indication of when it might be solved. The doorbell is recognised by Alexa but announcements don't happen, despite following the instructions on the Arlo website as to how to set this up. It is highly misleading of this company to advertise a feature that doesn't work at all for anyone.

Worst Arlo product ever!

Usual Great Arlo Asthetics, just didn't think I'd be so disappointed...

We bought the arlo doorbell after buying 2 arlo pro 2 cameras... one for the back garden and one for the front, covering the front door. Some of the reviews on this doorbell are so unfair! The quality of the doorbell is exactly the same quality as the cameras, they are clearly made of the same quality materials! Fitting the doorbell was easy, however, we found whatever setting we had the doorbell on... 1, 2 or 3... it would not operate our mechanical chime! Living in the UK it is probably down to the AC voltage! This was not a problem as we then ordered the arlo chime... the doorbell and chime work instantaneously and our phones go off imediatley after the pulsing doorbell is pushed! Our neighbours have a ring doorbell and as regards looks, I know which one I’d rather have! We are over the moon with both the Arlo cameras and the Arlo doorbell

First of all my doorbell was purchased s/h off eBay at half the price, as a trial and I have to say it was quite easy to setup the usual problem of getting it to talk to the chime and bridge always seems a bit hit or miss to me, but it works just fine if you persist, I can see why some people give up on arlo software, but now I know it works with just a short wait as the system communicates though the cloud I will update to a new doorbell in the future or when the price reduces it to a bargain.

Terribly unreliable & appaling customer service - Buy Ring instead

It might of been me but struggled to set this up initially, now working a treat in conjunction with our Arlo camera. As a disabled couple it’s made our lives much easier to answer the door from upstairs or other rooms and not have to try and get down quickly despite stickers and notices on the door some people appear to have little patience for OAP’s going away with parcels and letters et cetera, plus you can get rid of time wasters, sales people you don’t want to see face to face

Quite worried about getting the Arlo Doorbell due to a lot of negative comments. I have been using Arlo for a while now and the system has worked perfectly. Installation is very easy so please don’t even think about getting an ‘Expert Assembly’ at £120.00. The App clearly takes you through step by step everything you need to do and far easier to set up than the ‘Arlo Security Light’. I did have a slight issue of the Voice Messages not appearing in my Library but after a restart from the Base it all worked great. I live in a mildly busy street and the Speaker voice is fine and so far had no issues.
