We have recently had this fitted at the front of our house. The security light is bright and comes on when it detects motion, this when it also starts recording. It did not take long to fit as we already have a security light which we have re- placed with this one. The recorded picture is clear and you can also talk to your visitor. I find this makes me feel more secure as due to work I am very often on my own, I now have peace of mind knowing that I can see who`s calling. It was easy to use the free app and while at my friends house last night I was notified when I had a visitor, namely hubby home from work. This camera would be great if you had a nuisance neighbour, or wanted to tell a delivery person where to leave a parcel while you are out.

I chose this camera partly because I wanted a motion sensing light, and partly because it doesn't look like a camera, the lens isn't obvious at all.

Good points:
- The night vision is superb, everything is very clear
- It has a very wide field of view which can cover both sides of my driveway from my central front door.
- The sound quality is incredible, the mic picks up voices from a very long way away and the talk back is far clearer than I expected
- It's fun being able to watch remotely from the app and turning the light on and off and up and down. I can see it might be fun on halloween in a couple of weeks.
- The way it switches from nightvision to colour when the light is activated (see photos comparing night with IR)
- The motion detecting masking is very good, and it records the clip from a couple of seconds before the sensor is activated. I get a couple of seconds of nothing before appearing in the frame as I leave through the front door.

Neutral points:
- Image quality is good but not outstanding, certainly good enough to identify people and far better than a certain doorbell, but clearly there is some compression for filesize / wifi reasons. See my sample video
- Installation is a bit of a hassle as it is mains powered, but it's simple enough if you already have an outside light and you can't run a powerful light like this from a battery
- App and setup could be slicker, but works well and has lots of options

Negative:
- Can blow out faces which are very close to the camera at night because of the powerful light and IR emitters. I'm considering moving it further from the door.
