      Tap water now drinkable!

We live in an area with very hard water, my kettle and coffee machine scale up so quickly, but now i have this brita filter the water is drinkable, and my tea doesn't have a film on it, and I am not having to descale my coffee machine every three weeks! so am very pleased we have our water filter

Would not be without our Filter Jug.....

This is the second filter jug we have purchased. The first one has lasted in excess of 7 years and we are only replacing as the original now looks rather worn. We always use filtered water for cooking and for drinks as we prefer the taste and we dislike the scum that appears on the top of tea when using tap water. We would happily recommend this jug.

      Nice

This is our main water filter.Cons:Whenever you just filled it up for water to process and you would like to drink from it (since there are still some remaining and your thirsty), it would spill the on-going process water since the small opening where water will be refilled is not lockable. It would be nice if there's a latch or something so that even if the "has to be processed water" is by the brim and on-going, the product is still usable.

Great & Effective Water Filter with Pretty Long Cartridge Life Span

This Brita filter removes many impurities including, what I have found tremendously helpful, chlorine. The tap water here where I live is considered quite good as many of the most harmful chemicals have already been removed by the city council. And yet, with the Brita filter, the water tastes even better.I also appreciate that this filter can filter many gallons of water before needing to be changed. I have been using the Brita for all the water I consume (including that which I use when I cook) and for several humidifiers and it still lasted quite a long time. I highly recommend this one for anyone who is need of an easy to use filter.

      A big costly investment

This filter is great for those looking for larger capacity jugs that can still filter water to the quality that we normally come to expect from Brita jugs.

I was a bit disappointed with the installation process because the top cover was very loose and kept falling off which is very unsanitary and disappointing for the amount paid for this water filter.

Another issue you want to be aware of when purchasing this filter is that it only comes with one filter cartridge! This is a very cheapskate move from Brita considering how expensive it is to purchase replacement cartridges.

      best ever purchase

the pipes in my flat are very old and the water in London is hard. the filter in this jar removes any trace of bad flavours and the water looks clear. It's large, so I keep it out of the fridge and for cold water, I fill glass bottles with the water for the jar and put those in the fridge.I am happy to use less single-use plastic with this jar, because it helps me avoid buying water bottles.

      Large water filter jug

I've had, used or owned a water filter jug before. The instructions are clear and precise on what to do for first time use. I mainly purchased this for myself and for my plants. I normally use bottled water but hated all the plastic bottles and that the water I buy gets sold out fast (Morrison's saver's water) so was looking for a better alternativeI'm very happy with this. It is WAAAAY too big for the fridge door but that's not a concern. If you want I water filter jug for the fridge opt for a smaller jug but if not this is perfect10/10 from me

Want to save yourself 10mins and lots of £££s?

If you're reading this, it is most likely that you and I are very alike. At some point in your life, it has become of you to buy a water filter. The first thing I asked myself is 'what's in water that I need to filter out? Surely if I turn a tap at home I can pour it into a cup a drink it right? Correct. Having researched (here's your 10mins back) where water comes from, the end result is much the same for many houses in UK. You turn a tap and safe drinking water appears. It doesn't taste great though. It also makes water marks on glass too. However sceptical I may have been, I have eaten my hat and I would absolutely recommend buying a britta filter to anyone who lives in a residential area of HARD water. If you're not sure if that's you, unless your show glass/window is streak and mark free, your water is '.hard'

This Britta Filter Jug filters a large amount of water making it taste great and have health benefits. I wish I would have discovered one years ago!

And the answer to the question everyone asks: Filters are not overly expensive and should be replaced every 40 gallons which should last at least 2 months.

Remember it’s a big size, can be heavy when full and probably won’t fit in the fridge

Heads up, this is a large jug that probably won’t fit it the fridge and can be heavy to lift when full. As such you shouldn’t give negative feedback for discovering that its heavy and doesn’t fit in your fridge. Thats the published size.

I've had 3 or 4 Brita jugs over the years, this has the newer style filter ( no idea if it’s backwards compatible with older jugs) and its the regular deal with the pointless digital counter in the lid and the expensive filters which you can usually find on offer.

The only thing i dont like is that it has a rim on the underside, almost unnoticeable, but rapidly accumulates dirt on the underside which is usually wet so needs a constant scrub when it’s empty. Maybe a solid rubber/silicone non slip underside would be better.
