don't be fooled thinking this will shine bright white just like xenon as described because you will be disappointed. its not xenon at all. although adequate it does not represent xenon, probabaly just the same as "normal" bulb

Yellow in colour, not white at all.

Bought these to replace the standard sidelights as they were too dull and yellow. I bought the same kind of main bulbs which were white in colour so I was expecting the same, hoping they’d match.

Although they arrived quickly and weren’t damaged, that’s the only good thing about buying these. When I replaced my old ones with these, there was no colour difference at all and these are actually yellow, not white at all.

The annoying part about this is that these are the same kind as the headlights and should match but they look stupid compared together as yellow and white. Unless I got a bad batch, I wouldn’t recommend these at all.

      Yellow bulbs not white

Bought these to replace some Osram Cool Blue Intense sidelights. I seem to get through a pair of the Osrams every year, but they are slightly whiter than normal sidelight bulbs. I drive a Mini Countryman with the bi-xenon headlights, and the Mini is programmed to have the sidelights on with the headlights.I also have the sidelights on, as daytime running lights, so the Osrams have covered approx 5000 miles. These Philips bulbs are well packaged and arrived quickly, but despite the labelling and blue coating on the bulb, they're definitely giving out more of a yellow-tinged light than the Osrams they replaced. I'll see how long they last but looks like I'm going back to Osram next time.

      White light bulbs

Bulbs are the older 3700k not the newer 4300k but still give off a nice white glow rather than most common yellow bulbs. As you can see look much more stylish and give a nice bright beam with good distance at night. Had osram nighbreaker plus 90% before philips white vision look like they have the same light throw and cutoff as before with a whiter light and the bonus of hopefully lasting 450h. Kept the osram as spares.

      WhiteVision... not even close.

These bulbs are clearly advertised as white. Well after fitting them I compared the old set to these new so called “WhiteVision” bulbs. White... pull the other one. These have the same yellowish amber hue as the original bulbs I replaced. False advertising to say the least and a waste of money.

If you’re able to see photos on this review, then compair for yourself and see what you think. There is clearly hardly any difference between both.

3 stars for brightness. They are sidelights so are it meant to be that bright.
2 stars for longevity as I have only just fitted them so have no idea how long these will last with real world use.
3 stars for easy to install. Well that really depends on the car these are being fitted to. I fitted to an Alfa Romeo 147 and was a bit of a giddily job.

Overall, I do not recommend these if you want white lights as they are wrongly marketed. Utter rubbish.

      Whiter, really, spot the difference!

To be honest these are a bit of a con... if you want a new halogen and don’t care about the colour then fine. But if you want truly visible whiter light look elsewhere, the difference from a standard of the shelf BMW halogen is unnoticeable!BMW lamp on left, Philips “whiter” lamp on right, say no more, save your money!I took it out and replaced them both with LED HID lights.

Want LED brightness without the CANBUS errors.. use these

I wanted brighter, whiter lamps on my car.. I do a lot of mileage and often in the dark, and my factory fit lamps were dim and a very yellow light.I tried using LED bulbs in a few places on my 2013 Leon.. including trying several lamps which claimed to have the correct value resistors to fool the CANBUS tests into thinking they were incandescent lamps. None of them worked (well not for more than a few days!) - either they immediately failed or the resistors overheated and then failed. These Philips dipped beam lamps are easy to fit, have a great light output and a much better colour.. no they are not as bright as some LEDs, but they do provide a legal light profile and output, and don't mean you have to mess with large heatsinks that won't fit the lamp box. Easy to fit.. and so far (2 months) have worked faultlessly.

      Stopped working after 3-4months.

This product is a shame. I barely used it for 4 months. Overall 4.000 kms, since last october. (as pandemic hits as well in march). Today I went to my weekkly shopping, and I was shocked one of them just did not work after like very minimal usage. it is a shame. I do not recommend this product at all. I had Osram NB laser plus 150, They lasted over 1,5 year.. I think I will stick with them.

Nowhere near the white colour advertised, not worth it in my opinion.

Can't say I was best pleased with these. Had LED bulbs that kept flickering so decided to get these as a temporary stand in until I can properly sort them out.

The "intense white xenon effect" was what made me buy these ones and unfortunately also what let them down. They are nowhere near white. At all. They don't look anything like xenon either.

As a result of this colour they are not that bright at all either which even further lets them down.

I plugged them in and then compared them to an LED, and wasn't impressed. I'd say that could be possibly unfair, so tested it against my stock dipped beam headlights. Now these were standard dipped beam ones without any "white/blue/xenon" effect at all, as at the time they were the cheapest I could get. These bulbs came out more yellow than the dipped beam, which is very annoying given the whole point was they were meant to look white.

Don't get me wrong. They will still work as bulbs, and get you out of trouble if you have a bulb go, but in my experience they are not anywhere near white or xenon at all and for that reason they are not worth getting.
