Great stuff

There is no coconut scent or taste whatsoever and so I use it in conjunction with the solid coconut which does have a lovely coconut scent and taste... :-)

I used it mostly for my hair and it was really nice. Light with a faint scent of coconut oil.

Well, to be fair I haven't actually tried it yet but I'm sure it'll be fab!

I had never thought of using liquid coconut oil for cooking until I got the chance to test it through the Vine programme. When I asked my wife about coconut oil, she confirmed that she had used it regularly in the past for skin treatment, but never in a form produced as an alternative to traditional cooking oils. Quite clearly, however, the Natures Aid product is specifically designed for and aimed at foodies. My first raw taste was, in fact, rather tasteless, but a hint of coconut flavour was detectable after a second one. I then used it to fry an egg. I get a row for smothering my food with salt, so I first tasted the cooked egg without any salt. I did notice a slight taste of coconut, but, to my surprise, rather enjoyed it. With a little added salt it tasted even better! Later, a vegetable stir fry was a further very pleasant and palatable experience. Next day, when I tried sprinkling some oil over a prepared salad this also proved a great success. I will continue to experiment with the oil seeking further tasting rewards. As it is non-hydrogenated, it is supposed to be healthier to use and is also suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians. It is not exactly cheap, but, liking the new found taste, I intend to continue using it in the future.

Yes,really useful oil;all the benefits of solid coconut oil without the need to melt it.I find it very good in a Thai green curry or rice and peas.It is a bit expensive,but I think that is true of coconut oil in general,if you want good quality,and this one definitely is.I would highly recommend it.

Coconut oil has gone about quite a change of image in recent years. It used to be considered a medical "baddy" full of the fats that could cause you to drop dead from a heart attack any second. Now, however, it has moved over to the "goody" camp. Its fatty acids are of a length that not only do not cause heart problems, but also help you lose weight!

Whether or not you believe all this, anyone with a love of good food has always known that coconut oil is a joy to cook with. I have been testing it all this week and have used it to make wonderful stir-fries, fabulous dressings, and a lovely light sponge cake. This particular oil, being so light it is a transparent liquid at room temperature, is superb for all three of these activities. Although it seems expensive it is in fact quite economical as a little goes a long way.

Should you get bored using it as an oil, it is also a great moisturiser...

I bought this after reading an article about using coconut oil for teeth whitening. After using it for just a few days, I’m really pleased that it seems to work!If you’d like to do the same, the article I read says to swill it around your mouth for 20 minutes each night (for about 2 weeks) then brush your teeth afterwards.I’ve found the best results come from brushing teeth before and after swilling.Big tip- do NOT dispose of the swilled coconut oil down the sink! It can block the pipes and you will need to call a plumber to fix it!
