Within a couple of weeks the Bodum bread box lid began bending in the middle. Nothing was placed on the lid, but the problem grew worse and the buckled bamboo lid no longer fitted the box. This made the product useless for storing bread. I sent off photos, and a complaint, but never received a reply.

Very smart and not too large for 2 people, however average loaf fits in on its side plus room for pittas, crumpets etc. Lid fits well and the reverse being a cutting board is very handy. Vents provide air circulation and help keep bread fresh.

This is like a hard plastic feel with wooden lid, looks good and very easy to clean. I’ve managed to get a full loaf and 6 rolls inside. It’s pretty big but worth it. Very happy with this and fits perfectly with my kitchen.

The lid doesn’t fit. It’s to big to fit into the plastic meaning it doesn’t actually do the simple task of keeping bread fresh. It also has a vent on the side which even when shut it still lets air in. Not a great bread bin for keeping bread fresh. A real pity. If the lid fit and it had no vent it would be great.

The lid (which is also a chopping board) was washed by hand only and after one use and clean is not flat anymore. So it doesnt sit tight on the box, and the bread goes stale.

the boc came bowed in at the sides, making the lid hard to get in. i thought it would eventually open out but it hasnt.also now the top board has bowed up and is now pretty unusable.i have just missed the window to send it back.dont buy this product unless its just a one off but i will never know!

Received well packaged and undamaged. I've ordered large black and it fits the whole bread and some smaller bits. Chopping board is nice, smells a bit of wood ☺️ I like the design, it looks stylish and simple. Plastic container is ok, no smell. Not too thick but I think it's suitable. Would recommend.

Really happy with purchase, looks modern and stylish. I was a little worried it may be too small but I can fit a standard loaf of bread in it and pitta breads and wraps, would recommend this product x

Really lovely item with a great finish. At first I thought it might look a bit cheap with a plastic base but it looks sleek. It is very lightweight. The top is also light but feels good quality. It holds two loafs at a push. The fact the lid can be used as a chopping board is excellent and it also has grooves on the inside to help catch crumbs when cutting crusty bread. A great product and perfect for the smaller kitchen.

Purchased this item as I thought it looked rather nice for a bread bin.
One of my silly assumptions about bread bins was that it should be large enough to hold a loaf of bread. Clearly I shouldn’t have been so daft.
Upon its arrival, I realised I couldn’t put a loaf of bread in it. Not even close.
In fact I believe you would struggle to find a loaf of bread that WOULD fit inside this item.
Hastily returned for a refund.
So essentially I’m giving it one star because it can’t do its primary job in life, ie fit a loaf of bread in it.
