Train its self is fine needs a large track else it comes off on tight corners. The real thing that lets it down is that for ~£20 I would expect there to be batteries included this is just the manufacturer being tight.

Toyed loved by Grandson and played with a lot.... Seems also to have good grip on theBrio track unlike some other Brio powered trains which can't make it up the little slopes .

This is a brilliant addition to my little boy's wooden train set! It can pull quite a few carriages without trouble, even over bridges, although that does take its toll on the battery life. However, my son absolutely loves the fact it goes by itself, makes noises and has a light - it's a fab buy! Highly recommended.

The first one I ordered didn't work. So BargainFox kindly replaced it. My little one(and i) love it. Works with brio or Ikea brand. Strong magnet to pull other carriages.

Same as the big red engine, my son uses it with his bigjigs train set and it's brilliant! Can easily pull 3 carriages over a bridge and the lights are cute. He does wear the batteries out and you will need spares, but if it brings as much joy as it does in our house it's well worth it!

Originally had two of these in two colours one each for my 3 and 6 year old grandsons. They have spent many hours playing with them. Not always gently. So pleased I bought another so with supervision my 15th month old grandson could join in at his own level. Leaving the train switched off it is possible to freewheel. Batteries lasted well. Able to pull a few small wagons trains over bridges.
