Works perfectly (but not with my HP Probook) read why........

Works perfectly but not with my HP ProBook..... only because the usb ports are on different sides of the ProBook and the leads supplied are fused/ clipped together too short and not long enough to stretch to either side. Oh and also I didn't check that my monitor didn't have a vga port! That's easily overcome with a HDMI/VGA adapter. This switch works seamlessly, no lag and I like the little mouse button switch dead easy without having to locate a button on the unit. Can't go wrong for the price.

      WORKS NICELY

I was a bit skeptical when I looking at this switch because I like quality stuff. This certainly is quality, and it really does meet up to the expectations one would have of a higher priced unit. So what if the material used looks flimsy? it works and does the job ... no messing!

      1) turn off both computers, either at the wall or via the switch on the back of your computer

      2) connect your devices up, making note of the correct keyboard and mouse port on the KVM (it has a symbol of a keyboard and a mouse just underneath the unit)

      3) turn both computers back on (after switching the power supply to the units back on from the wall or the switch on your Pc's rear!)

      4) your KVM is then up and running!

      Works Well !

When I ordered this the day before yesterday it was £9-odd, today it's £15-odd!

I ordered it on the evening of day before yesterday and it arrived by Royal Mail this morning - that's excellent service from both the PO and the seller, Systo UK.

I ordered it to replace a clunker of a Belkin 4-port with miniature DIN (PCI ?) connectors as I now only have 2 machines and it was a pain using the Belkin to switch from 2 to 1 via 3 and 4 !

I only need to switch the keyboard and mouse as both machines have their own monitors. It does this simply and efficiently although there are various unnecessary beeps when switching - one beep would have been sufficient.

My only complaint is that the cables are only just long enough for my setup (machines about 1.5 metres apart). The cable length doesn't seem to be specified by either BargainFox or the manufacturer. I may need to extend mine.

      Still - five stars.

      Works as you'd expect...

Bought this to replace a lost Belkin KVM and use with an old Logitech G510 and G9 between my laptop and desktop.

Works just as you'd expect even with Logitech's (sometimes troublesome) 'Gaming Software'. In my particular setup, the actual KVM part is hidden from view and as that bit has the LED connectivity indicators on it, it's not immediately obvious which PC you're controlling. I've got around that by using the software to change the backlighting on the keyboard and mouse depending on which PC is connected... Maybe I just miss that the Belkin had the switching LED indicators on the remote...

Speaking of which, the remote, whilst it works fine and is discreet... does feel a little flimsy and cheap. Odd, as the rest of the device looks and feels well made. Overall, the Belkin looks and feels nicer... but this is simply much better value. And on that note, difficult not to recommend it.

      Works exactly as required

I ordered this as I, like many others, have been working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I had a computer desk with my gaming PC already setup, and had been crawling under the desk each morning and evening to swap out monitor and keyboard cables to my laptop docking station. Once I got fed up doing that I finally thought to look online for a solution, and this KVM has completely done that. Easy to setup; just plug everything in once, and leave the handy switching button sitting on the desk to toggle between the 2 machines. Now however it's all too easy to switch from boring spreadsheets on my laptop to games on my PC, so my willpower is being thoroughly tested...

      Works Fine-Short Cables

Works as described, no problem installing and recognised by Windows (Vista and Win 7) with no issues. Simple to install and I have just the control button on my desktop. Click and immediately control of keyboard/mouse is transferred to the other PC. Have not used the VGA connection as my monitor has multiple inputs so the PCs are connected directly via HDMI.Be aware that the cables are not that long (but at the price not unreasonable), so if there is more than about 75cm to 1meter (2 1/2 to 3 feet) between your PCs or to your desktop you will need USB extenders.Works fine and is recommended

Wish I had bought one of these years ago!

After struggling with desk space for years with a laptop with 2nd monitor and mouse on the same desk as the monitor for my desktop PC and associated mouse, I decided to dump the lowest quality monitor and one of the mice and install one of these KVM switches. The supplied (integrated, so not replaceable) leads are a good length and it all plugged together in only a few minutes. The only minor issue I had was regarding the USB dongle for the wireless mouse I was using. The dongle was quite big and interfered with the VGA cable housing, but that was easily remedied by using a different mouse with a nano-style USB receiver. Screen quality is very good, and mouse responsiveness is just the same as if it were directly connected. The real BONUS is the remote button to switch between inputs, again supplied with a good length lead and can be easily placed within arms reach. Its quite small and light though, so a small piece of double sided tape wont go amiss to prevent it moving from your preferred location. I'd have no hesitation in buying another one of these if needed

      Wins my heart

Never knew that such product really existed on this earth until my friend told me about this when he saw me struggling with my two office laptops ,now its just a push away i can switch my keyboard mouse and big screen to the other laptop from another..do not worry with the 9th pin missing its absolutely not require, Pin 9 was removed from 14-pin cables because the key signal became obsolete with modern computer monitors and was no longer used in the default applications of the VGA standard. However, Pin 9 has recently been reintroduced as a power supply pin to power circuity in certain displays. the computer monitors has absolutely no issues running with this....Great great great product specially for new work from home users

      Was exactly what I needed

I was able to connect 2 PC to one screen and just pressed the little button to change from one PC to the other. My webcam worked through it too but my microphone did not so have to plug and wired one into one computer and s[eakers with microphone into the other computer at the pink and green connectors. My wireless keyboard works on both computers but the cordless mouse will not work on either so have to plug in a wired one.

      Very pleased with this!

I've had a PS2-based KVM switch for years to switch between two PC's. This one is better in every way. For a start, all three peripherals switch seamlessly every time - with my old PS2 one, it failed to pick up the mouse so often I ended up using two anyway. The trailing remote switch is a great idea - all the spaghetti is hidden behind the desk and the button sits discreetly next to the monitor. The picture quality is perfect on both A and B computers, which was again not the case with my old unit. I just wish I'd bought one like this sooner! Highly recommended.
