With mixed reviews I was hesitant to order but I have to say I am so glad I did! I am a teacher and it is so convenient to have my own paper trimmer on hand. I find it easily cuts 6-8 pieces of paper at once and have had no issues with ribboning of edges. This product is so good I am just about to purchase another for my partner who is also a teacher. Highly recommend! Have recommended to several of my colleagues too!

When it arrived it was sooooo squeaky and stiff. Using it sounded like nails on a blackboard!However, I got the school caretaker to give it a spray with WD 40 and it’s worked a treat .... it’s started to squeak and become stiff again so who am I gonna call....... “Trevor” of course!

Very light weight, and does the job. It feels like it is a little less sturdy because of how light it is. It rattles a bit when you move it. But no problems cutting, and being light definitely makes it portable. As long as it stands the test of time, it seems like a good value budget buy.

Unreliable for any paper heavier than standard printing paper. I had bought it to trim my photo prints on fine art paper (from 280gsm upwards), as the description says it can cut up to 10 sheets of 80gsm, but the cut is not clean and the paper frays along it. I do not recommend for any purpose more than standard trimming of normal paper. Disappointed.

This trimmer worked well out of the box and does trim laminated documents ( just makle sure to leave some laminated pouch around the document/picture/etc otherwise it just opens up. It cuts paper well, at this price you know you are not getting a heavy duty office version. Keep the paper count count low and you will be ok.I will post a longer term review, I will be most interested in how the cutter holds up.

This product is terrible quality and has broken already. The metal ruler which (as demonstrated in the image) is supposed to be below the item you are cutting, ruined my image I wanted to cut as the adhesive stuck to my paper. I had to pull of the plastic ruler on top to remove the paper I was suppose to cut underneath this metal piece. Now, whatever else I go to cut, the paper slides underneath this metal ruler because the adhesive has unstuck from the trimmer. What a cheap crap quality. I have to now buy a new one and I've only been using the trimmer for a week now since I bought it. I'm behind on my work now too because of this cheap quality crap. Don't waste your money - buy another brand! Additionally, if you want to cut a really thin piece off, forget it, it won't happen. The paper gets all rough and you have to use scissors to neaten the cut - what's the point in this trimmer? Useless.

This product is better than scissors for cutting. However, a few issues really let it down.
1) The cutter isn't sharp enough and can lead to frayed cuts, especially when cutting multiple pages
2) The plastic cut guide is widely inaccurate and so you have to guess where the cut will be
3) The plastic paper squarer isn't bonded to the metal base and so it's easy for some paper to get under there and lead to cuts not being square or consistent across multiple pages.
It's cheap, so you get what you pay for.

There are two trimmers which look very similar, this one has more marked measurements so you can work more quickly as you know where to line things up if you are doing a quantity .Not really sure about why the fuss about new blades, once blunt, or regularly slipping onto the plastic holder so you have to put it back by pulling out the rod and replacing the slider- it's time to get one as far as {'m concerned. They are not expensive and I have never seen the blades on sale - and what cost?II use it a fair amount and I think at least 3 years last one- that's not single sheets of paper but quite thick card and laminator sheets. It gets quite hard work and doesn't last for ever. I bought one at the shop that looks like a warehouse and it must have been nearly £10 more expensive (without including postage - same colourr as this one/)

The top guide keeps coming out of its slot. I'm not trying to cut huge amounts of paper or card. Worst case is 1 sheet of 300gsm cardstock. It won't cut accurately cutting upwards, that's when the guide jumps out of it's slot. Not as good as my last one that I had for years. For heavy use this type is far better than ones that have a plastic runner that the blade cuts along. It's still a good piece of equipment, maybe I was unlucky and had a bad one.

Strong build quality, great blade. Even cuts mountboard without a problem.
