      great and useful

      was skeptical initially about how much this would work in protecting and helping my knee injury. however when i first wore it, it felt good and my knee feels more "secure". however the only problem is this knee support tends to "slide" down when you bend your knees and slowly, the top portion of the support is "dropping" lower and lower.

      Excellent knee support

      I have had one of these supports for about a year now and I think it's great. I have arthritis and was about to do a sponsored walk when my knee decided to play up, it wouldn't support my weight. I could walk perfectly normally with the brace on and had no pain.I recently bought another one from this BargainFox seller and found that they sent me an older design one, which wasn't as comfortable. The one I already have was 2008 on the packaging but the one I got from here was 1998. The design has obviously changed and I agree with the comments from the other reviewer about it not being comfortable. I am however returning it to get another one from the seller I got the first one from.Although the 2008 design does still wrinkle around the knee a bit it's a lot better than the 1998 design. Something to watch out for.

      From not walking a lot my husband actually mowed the lawn when he put this support brace on. The secret is in the supports at the side. They stopped the twist on the kneecap he was getting from just an ordinary kneestrap.

      Good quality, but ligament support requires firm side strips

      Bought this to support my knee while recovering from ACL injury, under the impression that the plastic strips were of some help, but they are actually quite thin and flimsy, so it's just the neoprene what's keeping things in place. This means no effective protection against compression or rotational forces.Anyway, the quality of the brace is good and so is its value, however it may not be supportive enough for a ligament injury.

      Big problem with this is that they wrinkle when you start exercising.This can be very annoying and the fit can be frustrating. Found it a bit awkward and McDavid are very unfriendly to deal with
