Description

Switching between breast and bottle is second nature with Closer to Nature Teats. Designed in conjunction with breastfeeding experts, the revolutionary new tommee tippee® Closer to Nature teat mimics the natural flex, movement and softness of a mum?s breast, to make switching between breast and bottle easier than ever before. The unique shape of the Closer to Nature teat encourages your baby?s natural feeding action so that switching between breast and bottle becomes second nature. Compatible with all Closer to Nature Easi-Vent Bottles.Teat collapse resolutionThere are two reasons a teat may collapse. One is an indication that your baby is ready for a faster flowing teat and may be sucking so hard that the teats can not release the air fast enough and collapses. The other is that the Closer to Nature Easivent teats are made from very soft silicone, therefore over time the silicone can remould when not in use, for example when on the shelf in store. You will have noticed a small tent-like vent on the inside of the teat - this should have a small slit along which allows the airflow through the bottle, and if this remoulds it will cause the teat to collapse during a feed. Please see the diagram below that may help, which is also highlighted on the front of the instructions. All you need to do to rectify this problem is to rub the valve between your finger and thumb until the slit re-opens. You will only need to do this once and the teat should then function as normal.DirectionsOnly suitable for use with tommee tippee closer to nature bottles. Important instructions are included inside. Worth trying first before choosing a numbered teat

Product is same quality as you would expect from Tommee Tippee. Vari-flo has a cross at the top of the teat rather than a pin hole so baby can choose flow of milk/formula. Tried this when moving from a #1 to #2 teat but baby did not get on with it. We went to #2 teats instead.

      Why buy the stages!

I always buy these teats as it benefits my little one, why bother buying the stages 0/3 when you can let them control it how they want too, they last but after there teeth start coming through then you do need to replace more often =)

Very good, but watch the air entry valve

Very good, the only snag is with the relief valve. I've found on several teats that the valve is still closed (ie. stuck together when manufactured). This is evident when the teat sucks itself into the bottle as the baby creates a vacuum (air isn't allowed into the bottle to equalise the pressure. It's a very easy fix and I would recommend everyone to check before first use. Just look at the small valve and squeeze the two outside edges together. The two 'lips' should open as if they were saying "ooh" and then close again when pressure released. This proves air can pass from outside in, but milk can't escape outwards.Other than that, no leaks and would buy again. Recommended.

      Very happy

Fit closer to nature bottles to replace the size 1 teats they come with by default. Very easy to switch out. Quick delivery. Switched my baby over at 2 months as my natural letdown is very fast and he was getting frustrated with slow flow

Very easy to swap out old teat

Bought these to change the original teat as the flow was too slow and baby got impatient while drinking a bottle, much better now with fast flow teat

Bought to try as our baby who is 4 months was taking ages to drink her milk and was very noisy drinking (sucking noises), like she was sucking hard as she could but not getting as much as she wanted. Would take her about 45mins to finishes a bottle. She is a bit faster with this bottle and slightly quieter , she takes around 30mins.There has been no problems with changing teats, there was no choking.

Shortens feed time from 30+ minutes to 12!

Wow! my partner and I are using these for our 12 week old daughter. The 0m+ was far too slow, causing wind, vomiting and taking a very long time to feed. She's just turned 12 weeks so we thought it was time to upgrade (as per packaging advice) and these have been amazing! they will fit any TT bottle top, they're the same size as any other but just flow milk faster.

Review for Tommee Tippee teats and bottles...

Review for Tommee Tippee bottles and teats: I swear by Tommee Tippee bottles...in my opinion they are the best make out there. This is my second set of these. The first set lasted a year and a half until my daughter decided to start chewing on the teats and made holes in them. My daughter is 21 months old so technically shouldn't really be using these anymore, but she has autism and refuses to drink out of anything else and panics if I give her anything else to drink from. Also, she has never had a dummy so her bottles are her comfort thing, bless her. I would recommend washing these by hand and not putting in the dishwasher...this was another reason why I decided to purchase a new set. Reason being is because the bottles are easily stained and her last set ended up becoming bright orange...even though I always swill off my plates etc before putting them in the dishwasher, there is always a bit of residue left, especially after an Indian takeaway with the orange ghee residue being left on the plates...so these bottles got really stained...however other plastic items I put in the dishwasher didn't stain, so I would say these bottles are easily stained. If you want to keep them looking new then hand wash only. I think the dishwasher also made the teats more brittle, hence the holes from my daughter chewing. The new teats are still going strong at the moment from handwashing only. Great price for genuine Tommee Tippee bottles and teats. Would highly recommend!

      Quality product

Bought these teats to convert our Tommee Tippee bottles from teat size 1 rather than buying more bottles. Item works well and would recommend it.
