Works for us so far!!We used to pay a moleguy to come regularly to get rid off the moles but they always came back. Ordered the 2 nd one today. Happy!

Works well and does as it says, bleeps regularly and seems to be keeping the little horrors in the field next door. Reasonably priced and well packaged and arrived within dates. Thus solar one seems to work better than the other style we bought that takes batteries.

Works as instructed although one of the items doesnt seem to be holding its charge (not sure if its the rechargeable battery or the solar product). the mole had only been removed to edge of lawn by using this product and the continual sonic sound. We had to resort to alternative mole catcher to get rid of the mole completely from garden.

We tried these as we had moles and wanted a humane way to get rid of/ discourage them. We saw reviews saying they were wonderful and effective so gave them a go. They were no use for us at all... we ended up having to employ a mole catcher.Waste of money for us.

We had a mole come and visit our garden after we had done some landscaping. We saw him heading through 20ft of an old gravel drive and towards the lawn in a desperate attempt to head him off at pass, I ordered two of these for next day delivery and planted them as recommended. They powered on straight away and after a few days we had two molehills 6 inches either side of the one I put in the lawn!! I was really frustrated to say the least and thought that by the next day the lawn would start resemble the western front. Imagine my surprise when there were no more hills and on further inspection our little visitor had decided to burrow under our wall and head off into the field adjacent. Since then we have seen hills in the field and in the grass verges on the road outside our property but neither​ he nor his mates have come back since. For now, I would call that a good result but will keep you posted when spring comes back next year....!

A year on and we are still mole free. However, my father-in-law did a favour and cut the lawn, managing to strim both units and break them! I quickly ordered two more as the moles are on the move again (some giant hills appeared across the road from us), both new units are in the ground and normal service has been resumed.

We have a large garden and nearby there is significant mole activity so the risk of unsightly mole hills is high. We have 5 of these through the lawn areas. They do exactly what they say. They must ideally be installed so a mower can go over the top which implies that one could tread on them occasionally. Not so! They are only plastic at the solar head and can be cracked or broken with ease so these are good if you are careful. Otherwise expect to have to replace them periodically. They work just fine.

We have been having a mole issue in our garden for some time and nothing we do will get rid of this pesky little nuisance and so I thought I'd give this a try having read the mixed reviews. Well the first 24 hrs there was a mole mound right next to the mole spike but I thought give it a fair chance and we were going away for 2 nights and came home to find another 2 mole mounds. conclusion? this spike is useless.

Very disappointed with this product, I originally bought this after trying various other humane methods of repelling/getting rid of the mole in our garden as it was making a mess of out freshly laid lawn. However after trying plenty of other humane methods we decided to purchase this, it only made the problem worse. It seemed to attract the mole rather than repel it unfortunately, the mole seemed to dig more and more and right next to the spike. This left us with the horrible decision to call in a professional "mole man" to help us out, costing us more money.This was a last resort.

This is an excellent product that works a treat at keeping pesky moles out of our garden. We live in a rural area and moles are prevalent in the fields and several years ago we had a new lawn laid but withing weeks it was wrecked by moles. We tried other suggested methods to get rid of them but nothing worked until we purchased one of these spikes. Within days the moles had left our garden! The spike lasted a few years before we had to replace it. Well worth the money!additonal October 2017 --- think we must have got a deaf mole because we now have 3 similar scarers in a small lawned area and the mole is not going away :(

This has been very difficult to review, as its effectiveness seems to have varied a great deal over time.

First impressions were positive - easy to put in place, and through long summer and shorter winter days the solar panel has kept it buzzing every few minutes.

It was purchased to persuade a mole in a small area of lawn to head back to the neighbouring field it seemed to have arrived from...having raised over a dozen mole hills it had made quite a mess. At first this seemed to do the job - buzzing away and no more mole hills. Then, a few weeks later, and despite still buzzing the mole (or moles) was back with a vengeance....

Cut forward a few weeks and the mole has moved to another small lawn, leaving the one with the mole spike alone...

So how can I sum this up? This is not a guaranteed solution to moles. It does though seem to have some success at times; my best guess this is largely down to the weather and how wet or dry the ground is and in turn how effective the pulses this sends out at deterring the moles. If you are looking at only a non lethal solution it may be worth a try, but the conventional traps are likely to be the more effective solution if moles are a real problem for your garden.
