If you need any more convincing...

...Jodi Comer wears one of these during the film "Free Guy" with Ryan Reynolds. On the practical side I've owned a pair since 2015 and they are still going strong. Great sound quality and comfort. Block out a lot of surrounding noise without the need for noise cancelling and because the "strap" is metal won't snap like a lot of headsets eventually do.Can't recommend these highly enough. This is one case where paying more will not get you a better headset than this.

      Unsure of buying? Read this.

Preface to say, this 4 star rating is only because I have a massive head, like literally. Not fat or anything, I just cannot find a hat that fits me. I'm absolutely sure this will not affect you, unless you knowingly have a head that does not fit any hat you've ever tried.

The issue for this product arose that i'd feel my head being squished by the headset, which led to initial discomfort. I'd often swap back to just using my speakers because my head was aching from wearing it for so long. However, as continued use got on, either it turned my head into an meat accordion to make itself fit, or i just stretched it out with my immensely obtuse cranium use. Either way, the discomfort went away after about a week or two.

Sound quality is absolutely stellar. I've almost overdosed on heavy bass at least 5 times since I got it.

Outgoing verbal quality is also amazing, so my friends have said- although, there was a brief period where my outgoing audio was not good. I figure it was just a loose connection, so i took apart and reconnected everything and i've not had a single issue since- (In retrospect, my friends discovered it's entirely possible audio was going through my webcam mic instead).

I ordered this headset about two months ago, and the quality that it has so far bestowed me with is probably the best i've ever experienced, then again, i've never shelled out this much for a headset/mic in the past, so it was to be expected.

Unsure? thinking of checking many a forum to find the right answer? Just buy this. I've extensively asked many different people/communities what they think the best for the money is, and they're all pointing to this. It's probably definitely worth the money.

      PS4 users read this first!

I did so much research on these and I have to say I am happy with the purchase.

The headset feels great although the clamping force is a little tight after prolonged wear. The leather pads feel great and come with a velour pair incase you want to change them.

The USB soundcard has all your volume, mic and mute controls, along with a neat 7.1 surround sound button that makes a world of difference.

The detachable microphone is clean and clear, with a little cap so the input isn't left exposed all the time.

The item also comes with a neat carry/travel pouch but this won't be of use to me, all of this put together in a well presented bright red box.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PS4 USERS: If you're planning on using this with the PS4, the soundcard controls won't work unless you connect the headset via USB into your computer and install the latest update (0010) from HyperX's website. Upon doing so you'll realise the currently installed update on your headset is 0030, ignore this and proceed with 0010. This will ensure your headset works properly with your PS4 console.

If you're into great sound then I recommend the Cloud Alpha's instead, as these offer superior sound and as made aware to me by HyperX themselves, they're also compatible with the soundcard from the Cloud II's. However a USB soundcard isn't included with the Cloud Alpha's.

HyperX Cloud II - Best Headset I've ever owned!

By far the best headset I have owned! Still great in 2019.

I first experienced Kingston/HyperX when I was gifted the "SteelSeries Siberia V2 Kingston HyperX Limited Edition Gaming Headset" a number of years ago now. They were incredible, but after a couple of years one of the ear pieces stopped producing sound. I then purchased a different SteelSeries model (P300 maybe?) which met an untimely end by the hands of my partner at that time, (she snapped the headphone jack, so I snapped her(out of exsistence)). I still own both headsets which Ive always been meaning to repair, but never got around to it.

I ended up purchasing another headset, and wanted to purchase one by either SteelSeries or HyperX, and ultimately settled on this one, and damn did I make a good choice. The quality is incredible and I would highly recommend them. I shall list some pros and cons below.

      Pros:
-Purchased in mid 2016 and still in near perfect condition to date, and I use them near enough daily!
      -Strong braided cable.
      -Detachable Microphone.
-Microphone is very clear and Ive been told it is of very good sound quality by others.
-Very comfortable closed-cup design, with two interchangable ear cushion options (soft cloth type & leatherette).
-Ear cushions keep their shape and softness, even after 3 years.
-Awesome sound quality, even better when using the usb extender cable.
-7.1 sound toggle which is great with films and games.
-Control box is the best ive seen. Very sturdy and the perfect size. The buttons are big and give a nice solid clicking sound when pressed.
      -Built in sound card.
-The overall build quality is great and ive not had a single problem with them.

      Cons:
-When the cable with jack isnt plugged into the usb extension cable it is fairly short, but then again its generally always being used with the usb cable and would be silly to not use it.
-Cloth type ear cushions pick up alot of dust, fluff, hair and other debris over time compared to the leatherette ones (this is kind of understandable though).
-On occasion my PC takes a bit longer then average to recognize the headset when being plugged in. (average for me being around 2-3 seconds).

I tried to find more cons but I really couldnt think of any.

      TLDR:
Awesome headset with impressive sound and build quality, also very comfortable, even over extended periods. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a headset for media/gaming/VoIP(Discord, etc.). Also fairly decent with most music.

Not what it's all cracked up to be.

OK, so I'm going to make some Kingston fans cry here and say, I'm not quite sure why this is so highly rated, it's pretty obvious the version 2 atleast is a console cash grab.

      Pros:
      Great sound quality (without surround)
      Fantastic Mic
      Strong bass
      Comfy
      Well made in some aspects
      Nice packaging, feels premium

      Cons:
USB Soundcard has no drivers, no options to tweak the surround.
      Surround is garbage
Braided cable makes a big noise in the ear cup moving it
Cables are too long (yes too long)
Headphones + Soundcard are like 2 different products "thrown in" together.
Whilst the MIC is good it's kinda quiet, no option to boost in Win10

I replaced these with some cheap LG Headphones, and whilst they have the same braided cable issue as the HyperX (making a noise in the ear cup, which other headphones don't have) they were 1/3rd the price (G430 on offer) with USB sound which is actually configurable. The Mic isn't quite as good, but overall I'm far far happier.

For the Price and the reviews, I cannot recommend this headset, it's been returned for a refund. The G430 doesn't feel as well made (feels flimsy in comparison but that's how it should be at the price points) but, really you're paying for a name. If they had some options for the USB sound then I may have kept the headset, but they didn't and the 7.1 was just trash.

Fab headset - Works A1 for hearing aid wearers!!!

This is the 3rd headset I've tried...3rd time lucky!!
1st was Plantronics Rig Flex, 2nd was Logitech G430 - nothing wrong with either but I have a small girly head and 1 other specific problem, I have a behind ear hearing aid. Now trying to find a comfortable solution to gaming that doesn't suffer feedback has been a trial and a half!

First mention is for the quality packaging, these bad boys arrive in a lovely box with plenty of secure foam packing and a carry bag. Oo la la!

The HyperX Clouds are quite literally as light as a cloud. These headphones are plenty big enough for guy heads but also small and light enough for girl heads, they don't swamp you. The wide flat padded headband doesn't make your head go numb when wearing them (Yes I have mine on for 8 -10 hours a day! and it's a big problem if they hurt) Now, I use the velour covered ear cups and they just sit happy as a bunny on my ears without causing my hearing aid to whine with feedback - RESULT finally!!! Apparently the Pleather covered cups cut out more background noise but as I can't use them I can't comment.
The sound quality is fab, they're simply a USB plug n play. The dongle gives you control over sound and mic volumes and when to activate the 7.1 surround for game play. The mic is detachable, so you can use just the stereo headphones plugged into your phone or MP3 player if you want or if you live stream with a static mic and don't want to use the boom mic.
The construction is plenty sturdy enough. My reply to those who say they break easily is take more care with your stuff! No rage quitting and throwing them down in disgust might go a long way ;-p
      I don't think I'll ever need a different brand now I've found these :-D

      Already broken.

I bought this headset at the end of August after a lot of my friends raved about it to me. The sound quality is brilliant, the microphone is very clear and the headset itself is comfortable, the headset itself is really, really nice.

However, there is one big flaw with it; the wire. The wire is a long braided cable wire and constantly twists up, I have to unplug the headset and untwist it at least three times a day or it knots up and becomes a mess to deal with. And now, after untwisting it for what feels like the 50th time, the microphone has completely stopped working. I can only assume a wire has gone, because the headphones are still working fine, but the microphone is completely dead I can't get any sound out of it at all.

For the price of this headset it should've at least lasted a year, yet I haven't even gotten 4 months out of it before it's broken. Considering the hassle I had getting it delivered in the first place, I cannot in good faith give it anymore than 2 stars.

i wont swap for another brand

So, lets start from the beggining.

      HyperX Cloud II (WIRED)
We used it for 5 years.
we get it in a beauty quality box.
With extra ear pads. 1pair leather, and 1 pair plush.
7.1 option and Stereo sound was awsome. Once one of the usb controller accidently was broke (i dont want to write the details of it), we replaced it. that controller part.

Sadly it wasnt the same anymore.
The replaced wire 7.1 function was strange, when you turned on or off first the voice was muted then turned on and off the 7.1
So if you can try to keep the original controller wire for it.

Reason for changed reduce the cables, and my Mrs used her orwn after hair wash with towel on her head, and the leather give up the fight (you can see on the picture).
      so... times change...

(we tried another brand but it wasnt the same confort and same CLEAR voice like what we had with HyperX)

      HyperX Cloud II (WIFI)
Same confort as before with the wired one.
first time it was strange i had to download from ms store the "app" for it. but 7.1 and the main things i can controll from that app, plus what is on the headset ofc. No and connection issues, no any box/canned sound. That was realy anoying with another brands.

      HyperX Cloud Flight
This one is a littlebit different from a regular HyperX.
Hard plastic Base, with confortable pads. If you used the Cloud II before the this feeling will be stange at the first time but basically its give the same confort.

What is VERY ANOYING about the software for this one.
Cant work with the same ms app like the Cloud II, no.. you must to google out and find the software for it.
When you find the software then its work like a dream.
No option for 7.1 on this product.

You can change the pads anytime if you want because use the same.

      Am i HyperX fan?
After my experiences... Yes. i am.

      Fire the R&D dept

Apparently, somebody at HyperX thought the DSP in the unit was so good (its trash) that ordinary people who use headphones for well, I don't know, gaming, music, movies, might like (sic absolutely require) the need to tweak the sound, but apparently not. There is no equaliser, no bass boost, nothing, other than the factory sound some goon at HyperX feels is good enough for them. I NEED bass and treble in my life, and the sheer stupidity of not even making a small equalizer to tune the sounds to differing ears is just comedy. Sent right back. Compared to their HyperX I, connected to a sound blaster z, the sound is awful, thin, no life, no treble, just flat bland sound. Others mileage may vary.Just to add, the cable to the earpiece is like a lightning rod for sound, so if you so much as move, there's a transmission of 'noise' into the earpiece via the cable. God help those who wear cashmere jumpers.

Awesome headphones! The BEST I ever had

      These are Awesome headphones!

MUCH better than the more expensive Logitech ones I have used previously (I have used four different Logitech models including their most expensive USB wireless models).

The background sounds in games are amazing to listen to after not hearing them properly with my Logitech headphones. I was taken about to hear things I had previously not heard on headphones costing more than twice as much!

These headphones are lighter, cooler for long use and have a great control for the volume/mic.

Absolutely the BEST headset I ever used! Enhances game play and use.

      Great for music/videos/movies too.

I will not buy any other after using these.
