      A good alternative to prescriptions

I suffer with rhinitis and usually get a prescription. I researched the active ingredient and this had the same in it at a fraction of the cost of the 'script. It says 2 squirts once a day. But i use 1 squirt twice a day so i get all day/night prevention.

I suffer quite bad with hay fever from time to time, including an itchy inside of my nose, sneezing and most annoyingly nasal congestion. Since I was told about this spray I never not have it in my home as when I suffer a quick spray of this soon clears it up. The other great thing is it is much cheaper than my local chemist (£2 each bottle) delivered to my home so really can't grumble. Great product that does the job at a great price.

      Alternative to beconase

Alternative to beconase. If you have problems with the brown inhalers then this might be a good alternative because it contains flixinase which you find in the orange inhalers.

The problem with beconase was it made my asthma worse. Prinase stopped that from happening. My asthma nurse moved me over from the brown inhaler to the orange one as a result.

NOTE this is not medical advice. It is a personal story. If you are unsure then consult your Dr.

Warning this item contains a potent steroid which means over time the skin inside your nose may become thinned. It isn’t recommended to use this everyday unless you have been told to so by your Dr.

Always seek advice from your Dr if you are unsure.

Works so far, this is a STEROID spray NOT a decongestant! takes a while to work....

There seems to be a lot of confusion about this drug. Some of the reviews are stating that they tried it once, it 'didn't work' or that it didn't open up their nasal passages and they were still stuffy. This is NOT a decongestant spray! It has no immediate effect to open up stuffy nasal passages like the Sinex type sprays (oxymetazolene). You are advised against using nasal decongestant sprays for more then 3 consecutive days as they can become 'addictive' in that the more you use, the more you NEED to use to be able to breathe through your nose, and the cycle continues until you are using it every hour or more.
This is a STEROID nasal spray. Steroids take a fair while to get into your system and you may have to use them for a week or several weeks before you actually notice much of a difference, as they work slowly to bring down inflammation in the nasal passages. It's really worth persisting with this but don't expect immediate and overwhelming effects!
My daughter suffers from dust/pollen/pet allergies and has a permanent post nasal drip and throat clearing issue. We have tried every anti histamine available as well as sprays from the doctor. She was using decongestant sprays just to be able to breathe at night to get some sleep and I was very worried she was becoming over reliant on them so as a last ditch attempt before seeking a referral to an anti allergy specialist, I am trying this spray. In the last 4 days of her using it the throat clearing and nasal congestion has definitely improved so I am hopeful this will do something if we persist with the treatment. Seems to have helped the itchy eyes too.
Worth a try if you have inflammation of the nasal passage caused by either hay fever or rhinitis of any origin (allergic) and you find you are over reliant on traditional decongestant nasal sprays which in the long term make the problem much worse.
My only complaint at this stage would be that the bottle is very small for the price paid, but I would be willing to spend 10 times as much if it delivers on its promises.

Was dubious at first, but actually works!

I'm a lifelong sufferer, my main gripe bar the obvious itching symptoms is I spend around 3-4 months of every year completely blocked up, using sudafed nasla spray to decongest every now and again for some temporary relief. The problem with that is you can't use it for more than 3 days.

After doing some more research this year, this is designed to be more of a long term option. I came off my generic hayfever tablets and gave these a go, 3 days in and ALL my usual symptoms has pretty much gone, my congestion is not completely soothed but it is 100% better than what it was. Would highly recommend for grass pollen sufferers.

Side note, the boxes arrived crushed and damaged, this doesn't bother me as the bottles were intact. But worth noting if you want it to arrive pristine, just be warned it won't.

The only one that works us us!

Excellent product. I first bought this a few years ago for my son who has suffered badly from hayfever in the past. We found that this is the only product that helps him. He sprays two dies into each nostril once a day and, since using it he has had no bad reaction to hayfever. I would recommend this product to anyone he has tried everything else.

Seems to be working to keep the effects of hay fever under control

I suffer with hay fever every year on really high pollen days even though I take on or two hay fever tablets some days. this year I decided to go all out and try a number of other products to combat the effects of hay fever. So along with this and my usual hay fever tablets I've also been using balm for around my nostrils and hay fever wipes.I can't tell which product is having the most effect but this year I've not suffered at all with hay fever so will continue to use all products in the future. Yes it may be an expense but if it ends up costing me £30-40 each year then I'll gladly pay it if it means I'm not having to suffer the effects hay fever.I will say that I tried a different nasal spray a number of years ago but it was such a horrible experience that it put my off them until now. This product doesn't burn like the last one or leave a nasty smell. I can't remember which product I used previously.Recommended.

      Seems to Work

Bought this nasal spray for my elderly dad who suffers from a very runny nose. He has tried everything, so this spray was a last resort. Amazingly it has reduced the constant stream every morning. I dont know if when he finishes the bottle, it will start to run again but it is giving him some respite from his symptoms. Its a small bottle but I would recommend buying this product.

      Review from a GP

Good for hay fever or just rhinitis. Best used two sprays twice wily for 3-4-days the. Reduce to one spray twice daily. Works much faster - best effect will take at least 7-14 days of regular use - I am a GP.

Perfectly good product but such a wasteful design

Chunky glass bottle- only half full. Massive plastic spray and plastic cap- all pointless and wasteful (see a typical beconase or sinex spray for perfectly good designs with less plastic). Worst of all the shape of the bottle means there is always a good deal of liquid left in the bottom that cannot be used and the spray stops working long before its run out. Utterly simply to have a bottle which gathers the remaining liquid in one place and directs the pump tube to that place. I can only assume its a deliberate design to make people buy more. Objectionable.
